Polynomial was started by three university friends as a hackathon project in HackMoney 2021 by ETHGlobal with the radical idea that anyone, anywhere, should be able to easily and securely buy on-chain derivatives. We are now building a DEX that offers seamless trading experience for derivatives with deep liquidity, up to 25x leverage and 70+ markets to trade on Optimism Mainnet & Base. Till date, our perps exchange already has $4.5 billion in total trading volume and is one of the largest applications built on Optimism with more than 25K traders have already traded with us and have come onchain on the Optimism network.

This grant was for "Optimistic Indexer", an open-source indexer that we built for other projects to use instead of paying for indexing solutions. This grant will only be used to further improve on the indexer and not for our core "trade" product.

We received a $25K grant from Aave Grants DAO for our "Strategies" product (https://trade.polynomial.fi/strategies) where we were building a Funding Rate Arbitrage strategy where users leverage long on Aave and leverage short perps on Polynomial to make profits.
